We are so very thrilled to be holding this competition. It is probably the one and only social accounting competition. Hm. So what is social accounting? Well, it's actually just a term that we coined. Haha! Social accounting is like doing social work via accounting. Basically, helping people by improving their accounting know-hows is the foundation of what this competition is all about. Yes, it is also what this blog is dedicated for!

We in SIFE are very grateful for the support from the Faculty of Accountancy for this competition. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Right now we are in the midst of planning for the closing ceremony. It is expected to be a huge occasion! Well, it is now almost the final submission date. We wish all the participants good luck and may the easiest accountant wins! (:

Hey all!

First of all, we would like to inform that the FCA name is no longer in use. Awhh. We have changed it to Accounting Made Easy (AME)! (:

Subsequently the two components and modules of the previous FCA are now called AME for Businesses (AMEB) and AME for Students (AMES) .

Regarding the downloadable modules, only the AMEB module is available for download. Those who wish to have the complete edition of this module, please leave your particulars here (comment this post) or by sending us an e-mail to fcasifeuitm@gmail.com. This is because we wish to get feedback from those who are really interested in implementing the module.

As for the AMES, we are currently not providing any downloadable module. If you wish to know more about the content or is interested in joining our workshop, kindly leave a comment or e-mail us.

P/s: It would be great if you guys could tell us on some people who would need the module. We would be more than glad to personally come and explain more about it. A 1-on-1 session.

FCA: Accounting Has Never Been Easier

So you have a passion for cooking? Crafting? Fashion? People around the world with different infatuations of their own have started businesses by making the most of their knowledge and skills in particular fields. More often than not however, the business does not thrive as expected. Why is that so? They have the passion, the knowledge, the expertise; so why the failure?

Well, people don’t say the business world is ruthless for nothing. You won’t get by with mere passion and expertise. That needs to be topped with sufficient knowledge in basic business skills.

And that’s where SIFE UiTM’s Financial Consultancy Aid (FCA) comes into place =)

Without a proper documentation, a business won’t be able to know how it is performing. The current cost, the cash flow standing, and even its own payables would not be able to be identified without appropriate record keeping. Knowing this, SIFE UiTM continues FCA, a module launched last year that has helped & impacted many aspiring entrepreneurs.

Through this ambitious project, we consult and help entrepreneurs in managing their business through two crucial aspects; a proper accounting record and a good internal control system. Emphasizing on these two points, SIFE UiTM produced a step-by-step comprehensive module to help aspiring entrepreneurs record their daily transactions, and the basic simple version is downloadable from this website. However, usually after meeting up with the entrepreneurs, we come up with a customized version of the module to suit their type of business (this is especially so for the internal control part, which differs significantly in different industries). So what are you waiting for, come and give us a call, and we’ll come to your aid in no time!

On the top right of this page, you can see that there are buttons to download a copy of our module. There are two versions of the module, namely FCA for Businesses and FCA for Students. The latter is basically similar to the former, but it also includes two additional journals significant to student life (the College Cash Flow and Event Budget Worksheet) to help them organize their daily expenditure & to help them manage their society events.

We came up with this portal in order to reach an even wider community. Feel free to download the modules available. We wholeheartedly welcome your feedback regarding the modules, or any other type of enquiries you may have concerning your business or other financial matters.
